Marmite is the newest addition to the family. I was unsure whether I was ready for another cat this soon after Kaia's death (7 months). Things are working out really well so far. He is really energetic (to a fault) and seems very happy to be living with us instead of rotting in a cage in a shelter. At first he and Frank didn't get along very well but now they do. He's really tough-looking which is a bonus. He'd have been put down by now if we hadn't adopted him which makes me feel pretty good too. Nobody wanted him because he isn't a kitten and because he is black and Americans have backwards superstitions about black cats.
